This comprehensive and Seekers box contains virtually complete released recordings done by the during 1964-1968.
In addition to the original Seekers releases the box contains four 1967 Judith Durham solo tracks and a previously unreleased outtake from "Seekers Seen in Green".
Some of the recordings may today might seem a bit aged; especially the early recordings, which were primarily traditional folk/country songs. The group’s original material preferably written by guitarist Bruce Woodley and producer Tom Springfield is still, however, a real pleasure to listen to. Everything is remastered and sounds really good.
The packaging, unfortunately, leaves a lot to be desired. The accompanying booklet is in just eight pages, and the information about the individual songs is printed in very small typing that even using a magnifying glass leaves it difficult to get an overview of where the individual recordings come from and who wrote them. The brief biography, however, is okay, and written in a legible font size. But frustrating that so little enthusiasm was put into the packaging; the group really had deserved much better.
