Its better than the debut which obviously didn't have as much thought put into it.

I see the same thing about the group's debut. This is a good album, but nothing completely mind-blowing or amazing.

The first four tracks are good, but once Taxi Cab and Run hit your speakers the album begins to jump ahead, and a good album starts to become a great album! Lucky for us VW doesn't stop there, the three hit bang of Cousins, Giving Up The Gun, and Diplomats Sun moves this album into the higher levels of greatness!

I like Horchata a lot, and Giving Up The Gun is good, but I was greatly disappointed by this, considering its ranking for the year. I really loved their first but this one kind of lost the African feel, to become something way less enjoyable. Maybe there are too many electronics, too. Or the melodies are less catchy. I don't know. But there's something song with this record.

Not as good as their first album, but still there are some good songs in here like Giving Up The Gun and White Sky.

I never had too much love for their debut, but this album is solid. Diplomat's Son is one of the best songs of the decade.

A terrific album that blends memorable hooks with smart lyrics and some very fun energy. An even better album than their debut which says a lot about the quality on this one.
