Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 68.0/100, a mean average of 66.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 67.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.4.

This album has a more interesting sound than No. 4 for me and probably draws me back a bit more. The production is less dominated by distortion and Weiland isn’t as lacklustre as he was on the previous album. It is still well short of their best though.
This was the last album of one of the best bands of the 90s. It starts off well Days of the Week is a good track but the second half is not memorable and this was somewhat disappointing.
A really great mix of that post No.4 sound and some really nice slow songs that show the more elegant side of Weiland's songwriting. A solid album, but the album is extremely inconsistent with the track listing. But seriously, aside that the album really does not deserve a 66 rating- that is just cruel.
Still putting out the signature STP sound, but it's so unfocused... For shame.
Average at best, favs; 'Hollywood bitch' 'Coma'.
This one is pretty lackluster for me. I know it has its fans, one of my friends insists it's the most underrated album ever, but there's just nothing that stands out. Not bad, not good.
