Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.6/100, a mean average of 71.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.5.

Easily should be in the top 500 albums of all time. This record is incredibly underrated.

This and Your Favorite Weapon are probably my two favorite debut albums ever. Just an amazing album, and no wonder why some of the mainstays on their setlists are from this album :)

Quintessential 00's emo that holds strong at the very front of Taking Back Sunday's front-loaded career.

this album has to be one of the biggest hit or miss albums I've ever heard, when its good, its RIDICULOUSLY good and when its bad it gets cringeworthy

One of the very few tolerable third-wave "emo" albums.

DO NOT let taking back sundays later work put you off this album!!! (the 2nd album was okay, after that its useless.)

I see this album as under rated. By far taking back sundays best work in my opinion (though it isn't in the most charts on here...)
good lyrics, incredibly catchy chorus'
certainly one of the best albums of its genre.
