Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 7% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.4/100, a mean average of 74.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.9.

Very good album compiling some of early Yes' best material, including two tracks hard to find anywhere else (their stunning 10-minute cover of Simon & Garfunkel's America, and the pleasant original Dear Father). Good introduction to the early days of the band.

Chances are you started at 'The Yes Album', which is honestly the best place to start.. However if you want to get a feel for their earlier work this is the way to do so.

'Yesterdays' compiles the best tracks from both of their first two studio albums into a cohesive collection of work. Start it off by adding their cover of 'America' by Simon & Garfunkel, which makes the compilation worth purchasing for this track alone even if you are familiar with their first couple albums.

It ends off with another non-album track, 'Dear Father'. A song that was excluded from their second effort, and possibly with good reason as it seems to get a lot of hate from fans and critics alike.

Give this comp a listen if you're curious to hear some early Yes from the days before Fragile & CTTE. Pair this with the superior 'Classic Yes', a collection of their best tracks from the glory days and you've got yourself a great introduction to one of the best progressive acts of all time.
