Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 6% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.0/100, a mean average of 75.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.7.

Is there a bad or weak album in the Fish-Era of Marillion ? No , there is none...
I guess every Fan has his own opinion over which one is the best . It's like being asked
''Name your favorite child'' .
Every Fish-era album rotates in my playlist since the mid-80's .... Timeless masterpieces throughout !
An underrated album in my opinion. Particularly fond of Punch and Judy and the opening track. An album that grows with more listens. At a time when Genesis and Yes pursued a more pop based sound, well done to Marillion for continuing to fly the Prog flag through the eighties and beyond.
Underrated...
Not their best but solid album!
80/100
The best album with Fish
80/100
Disappointing album for me, the record they release just 1 year prior is just much better
Marillion is an English band, pillar of Progressive Rock and quite underrated ... Their album "Fugazi" is a flagship album of Progressive Rock. Less impressive than their debut album, "Fugazi" remains a complete album and quite interesting at the level of experiments. The cover art is one of the best in Prog Rock. Finally, I have never been a fan of this group: I like some albums (as for Rush), but I will never mention it in my favorite bands.
8/10
Best track: "Assassing"
Saw Marillion on Real to Reel Tour in 1984 and only owned this album at the time, played (I believe) all the tracks off this. I am a fan of the Fish era 8 minute plus epics, can happily sit through the 20 odd minutes of Grendel so this is a favourite of mine. Preferred to Script, superceded by Misplaced Childhood but this is the Marillion album I find myself most going back to now.
This is the best Album by that Artist
Good stuff all around; no duds in sight. Each song is memorable, dramatic, and powerful. I think Fish was at his peak here; he mellowed out with the next two releases.
