Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 70.6/100, a mean average of 70.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 70.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.2.

A fine album; personally I hate the track "Gonna Get Along Without You Now" (a cover), but with that track deleted this album is a phenomenal achievement encompassing both sunshine and melancholy pop.
During the first song I wrote this off as a simple twee album. As the songs progressed I ended up liking this more and more. It has a very likable sound and as said below, an innocent sound. It's something I could put on in morning when I don't quite fancy some loud music. Lingering Still and Over It Over Again were my favorites. If you are hard pressed to find good albums in 2010, I suggest trying this one out. You may be pleasantly surprised by it.
If elliot smith is dark & twisted, this two are innocent and funny, its like ying and yang, really enjoyable
A pleasant, dreamy throwback. I gave this to my folks a bit ago & they keep mentioning how much they like it. I didn't feel a real connection w/ any song in particular, but the album as a whole really works.
