Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.0/100, a mean average of 71.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.0.

If you've all probably heard of white noise for its recurring use in experimental productions, it may not be the same with black noise. Also called silent noise, black noise is the noise that commands animals to flee when a disaster is about to occur or the danger is imminent. A kind of sixth sense in a way. One of the most important artists of the deep house, Pantha Du Prince, decided to settle in the heart of the Swiss Alpine pastures to take the sound samples of his third album, called "Black Noise". This album is a mass that invites more and more organic tendencies while Hendrick Weber digs his furrow deep house ostentatiously, finally arriving at an architectural fusion of a unique musical genre. "Black Noise" will have its place in the pantheon of the most beautiful electronic albums because the maximum of Weber's musical romance is reached. I recommend this record as a friend's advice, a first listen will quickly make you capsize because it's a real masterpiece.

Best track: "A Nomad's Retreat"
Fucking beautiful. Panthas use of bells for percussion works wonders with the minimal soundscapes.
