I enjoyed this album and played it a few times, but the self importance of it turned me off in the end. Fragrant World was more low key and the songs just sat there like.. love us or hate us we don't care.
With this one, it tries to be a bit grandiose and comes off as a parody? Still though, I adore "I Am Chemistry" "Dead Sea Scrolls" "Divine Simulacrum" and this may possibly be in my top 100 albums ever. It's just not as carefree as their first three albums.
I'm being a bit hard on it because.. Yeasayer have tons of talent and could have done a bit better. As a standalone album though; it gets an 80/100 from me.

Against all expectations, this is one of my favourite albums so far this year.
