Iron Maiden at their peak. Everything went down hill from here, still love them, but this album kicks some serious butt!
A 13 month long tour to support the album, going to 28 countries! playing before 300,000 fans at the first rock in rio. Crazy.
All the tracks are classics, not one bad tune here. I still have the vinyl, and listen to it, ahh brings back memories. Up the Irons!
OmidI don't understand Iron Maiden music,certainly not my cup of tea.

THE METAL ALBUM OF ALL TIME.The best album of any kind of the last 35 years.I could write a book on how much I like Powerslave & what is great about it.Simply put it's a masterpiece.It has no weakness.If you listen to the whole album from Aces High to Rime Of The Ancient Mariner You will truly be blessed & may even have an out of body experience.UP THE IRONS!!
BorkIt's hard to choose between this and The Number of the Beast, but ultimately this has got to be Maidens best album and the best pure metal album yet made (AC/DC being disqualified for having to much roll in their rock). Every single track is strong AND it contains instant hits in Aces High, Flash of the Blade and Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Listen to this and kneel to the Gods of Heavy Metal.
Duelists and Rime of the Ancient Mariner were impressive
Some kick ass heavy metal from the irons. The first album where they really match the magic of their debut. The progressive epic 'Rime of the Ancient Mariner' is captivating.
