They are definetly the best live band I've seen and I love there new album "The Resistance". It is a masterpiece.

Opinions of Muse seem to range from the sublime to the ridiculous, but personally I favour the former. A hugely ambitious band with the talent to back it up, Muse draw from many genres to create bombasitc prog rock that is often ridiculed for its ostensible pomposity, but since when do the best live bands confine themselves to severity and peace?

when they started out, they were poor radiohead immitators, and the people who felt let down by thom yorke's decision to copy aphex twin and boards of canada instead of pink floyd, started followed this lot or coldplay. what a load of bollocks!

i keep hearing how good these guys are live.. but i don't get it. surely if they're that good, they can't be playing the songs on these albums?

Their lyrics may lack the subtlety that some snobs here dislike, but they are making the most exciting and ambitious rock music for years. And obviously live they are in a league of their own.

As far as the states go, this is the most under-rated band ever. Frontman Matt Bellamy is probably one of the most talented musicians out there right now and they just put out song after song after song. They've evolved over the years, as has their sound, but they remain at heart a progressive rock band. While this might not suit everyone, there's no denying this is the best live band in the world right now.
