Best out and out heavy metal band of all time. The opening of Unleashed in the East is just awesome. Agree with the comments on the dueling guitars. Saw them 2 years ago (2010) and I was impressed with how good Rob Halford's voice still is. Liking the total irony of the leather clad lead singer who was (somewhat) secretly gay.
Awesome old school metal band that still delivers the goods. Painkiller was one of the first cds I ever bought and one of my favorites.
Jasonconfused 11/17/2012 03:45This band is a heavy metal staple. They were the first to take heavy metal approach without so much bluesy sounds. The Breaking the Law riff is in every heavy metal guitarists arsenal.
I see Priest as one of first - if not THE first - pure metal bands. Fantastic vocals and dual guitar leads. Rhythm section is average at best...but the band doesn't need anything too fancy.
