Best Southern Rock band of 70's. But without Ronnie Van Zandt, dead in a plane crash, the band is not the same.
junodog4Sadly, I think those that are ignorant of Lynyrd Skynyrd lump them in the same category as Nazareth, Kansas, and REO Speedwagon. Just because Skynyrd sold out arenas in the 70s doesn't mean they are soulless arena rock. I'd liken them more towards the Allman Brothers. They play great guitar driven southern rock. Their playing is sublime, their lyrics topical, and their melodies catchy. Skynyrd is woefully underrated on BEA.
