The greatest rapper in the world!!!! Ahead of the game on so many levels. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Late Registeration, and The College Dropout are some of the finest albums of all time!!!!!

As a rapper, he's decent. As a producer and musician? He's a complete genius, and he uses his power for good. I don't care how much of an arrogant jerk he is. That's immaterial, as far as I'm concerned. Kanye puts out one excellent after the other. Even his worst album is still seen as pretty influential. How many of even the best artists can say the same? Can't wait for more of his solo stuff.

Hip Hop really isn't my thing but Kanye is an exception. Some brilliant songs.

I'm not sure what I think about his arrogance. On one hand, I support it - he really is an incredible artist, and he has a right to the swagger. It makes him more interesting and more raw. On the other hand, it makes him unbearable to see in the media, and some of his lyrics get tiresome on his lazier songs. He's like many artists - love the music, ignore the personality. Kanye has eclipsed Jay Z as the king of hip-hop.

Enough smash hits to fill a double LP greatest hits album without blinking and still having a handful of tracks left out. That's not even counting his outstanding production work with Common, Jay-Z, and John Legend.

I just don't hear it. I'm baffled by the popularity of this rubbish. Popularity does not equal quality. I'm constantly being told that I should like Kanye West by critics. I've given it plenty of chances. Nope. Still ain't hearing what other apparently are...must be one of those sounds only heard by children and dogs.
