I think it's pretty cool LaLonde was in possessed before this. Anyways. Great band, but they don't have what it takes to get to the next level. Still I love their bass.
One of the best power trios out there. They're funky as hell, and Claypool is a true virtuoso. LaLonde is a very intriguing guitarist, incorporating a variety of avant garde-style guitar techniques. And the gauntlet of drummers that have worked with the band have all been tight, groovy, technical, and powerful.
