Shakespeare's jealous
Some says he voices is not good and other artists's covers are better, but I never thought that he's the original no one can sing better than him love and respect to him
Not even The Beatles have released as much good material as this guy, which says a lot. Dylan is my hero, my inspiration (the good and the bad), and people keep saying his voice sucks, but after I got used to it, there's few other vocalists that can compare. He had a power and a phrasing totally unique to planet earth, and he was also a master of lyrics and melodies. Most cover versions of his songs can't compete on any level, as they tend to "niceify" and neuter their power, and why would anyone want that? Lastly, I would also like to state how brilliant a live performer he used to be, totally remaking his songs in various ways and actually creating live albums worth buying. :)
Bob Dylan was amazing during the 60s. In The 70s, he was inconsistently good. After that, people became afraid to say how boring his new albums were.
I really love the way he sings
aguraly greatest solo artist ever and maybe forever
The best ever.
I am more of a Best of fan of Dylan's. An intimate fan of all his albums I could never be, and for some reason I let that bother me instead of just enjoy the great stuff he did do.
Quite simply, the man who invented the album as we know it. Before he did Freewheelin', Another Side, THe Times They...., Bring It All Back Home etc. albums were a collection of 3 minute tracks. Best of's if you will. Bob saw the potential of what you could do with albums with tracks lasting 7, 8 minutes long & more. If you love albums & I guess you do if you are on this site then respect needs to be shown to this man. You may not like the music but admire the vision.
One of the most consistent artists of all time. He hasn't made any top 10 album of all time, for me, but at least four of them would be in my top 100. And I really like his voice. People seem to dislike it, but I think it gives a lot of personality and emotion to his songs.
