Hotel California you have to listen to but also One Of These Nights which I think is my favourite album. Only ever saw them live once. It was like watching a video or listening to an album. They didn't stray from an exact rendition of a single tune once. Not my idea of a gig. I want somethig different if I'm making the effort to travel to see a band.
gtrodaThey feel like a singles band to me. There is a reason their greatest hits album is one of the highest selling of all times. Fantastic singles but not a whole lot of reason to delve into the albums other than Hotel California.
junodog470s superstars, morphing from genuine, earthy country-rock to brilliant if slightly manufactured soft-rock. It's tough to argue with the melodies and stories they crafted on album. Hotel California deserves the acclaim.
90s sell-outs. Expensive concerts, pointless albums, and all around prickishness. They should have stayed broken up and preserved their legacy.
