junodog4OutKast was exploring the creative boundaries of hip-hop well before Speakerboxx/The Love Below. They really knew how to marry to distinct talents and personalities into a album. Big Boi's heavy beats, strident delivery and creative production balanced against the dynamic, dramatic, r&b flavoured elements of Andre 3000. Their lyrics had a brain, their sounds were creative, their beats varied the pace and tone. OutKast is fantastic.

Outkast produced songs rather than albums pre-Speakerboxxx/The Love Below ... it's a shame that can't be separated into two albums, because they are very separate and the Love Below is a work of art!
sethmadsen 01/11/2012 20:56Some of the best artistic rappers out there. These guys and Wyclef have become my favs. Misses Idlewild album, and two of the best tracks off it- Idlewild Blues and Morris Brown
Captain_Dude 08/02/2011 23:26Speakerboxxx/The Love Below was Outkast's high point. Unfortunately, "Hey Ya!" can't carry the whole album and that brief spark wasn't enough to allow Outkast's light to shine very long at all.
