junodog4One of the toughest bands to rank albums for. They had a stretch of 4 or 5 in from 77-84 that are all fantastic, yet none stand out as the definable Talking Heads. Great albums, great band. So much funkiness.
The best of the new wave bands. The growth of the band from quirky geek rock to cool hip world-beaters was an amazing thing to witness. But I wouldn't want to have missed a moment of Talking Heads '77 in lieu of Remain In Light or even Naked. In rock history they kind of get lost in the names, but the Heads were a so important in the 80's. They got me through a lot of rough nights in college. It WAS a party, it WAS a disco, we just LOVED fooling around!
