This is one of the better charts. It is, for example, refreshing to see that 'Ok Computer' by Radiohead, one of the most over-rated bands that rank alongside U2 and The Beatles, has not made it to the top of the list. Despite this, the chart is seriously flawed. I look forward to the day, that charts like this do not include anything from either of the most over-rated bands in the history of rock, the Beatles, and the band that they tried to emulate throughout their entire career, The Beach Boys. How can it be that two of rock music's greatest innovators, Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart, do not merit a single entry between them? As is usual with these kinds of lists, there are far too many artists who do not merit inclusion, and many more who deserve to be included that have been strangely omitted or overlooked. Minutemen, Fugazi and Bardo Pond are three of the more recent bands who should have been included at the expense of say Oasis, Verve and Jesus And Marychain. Meanwhile, the omission of many of the inovators from the late 1960s and early 70s such as Hendrix, Red Krayola, The Deviants and Soft Machine is simply criminal. But hey, as far as lists go, there are a lot less credible ones out there.

Great chart

Really enjoyable... You could always argue about number 1, I suppose there is a good historical argument for putting Stone Roses debut there by a British magazine. Anyway, any chart including no more than 1 album by Beatles in Top Ten is worth noting :)

If this would of been made fives years earlier Manic Street Preachers would be all over this :(

The Stone Roses is definitely Top Ten worthy. Maybe not #1, but it is a great fucking album.

That Stone Roses album is excessively overrated, and that's saying something...I never call things overrated.

The list has it's moments of greatness, but also moments of what they the hell were they thinking. Sounds like every chart on here.

I like how it's full of artists from different periods of time, (unlike Rolling Stone's list) although I don't think the strokes should be that high.

It seems to be missing a lot of the good stuff, some excluded masterpieces that make this list a complete disaster. I do like the inclusions of two Radiohead albums.
