Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by meccalecca
Hundreds of thousands (if not million) of albums are released every year. This is my shallow attempt to narrow down to the 100 albums that have most touched my soul.
In simplest terms, my obsession with music has been a lifelong journey in search of a better understanding of who I am. As I've evolved and lived, records have provided a historical timeline as well a reflective mirror. Therefore, I see this chart as an incomplete self-portrait/autobiography. Though it's abstract and incomplete, there's an endless amount of information to be had.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 1% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 91.4/100, a mean average of 91.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.9/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 9.0.

Really good chart
love you see how much love you have for The Chantels and for Hella Personal Film Festival, but of course the whole chart is excellent not to mention full of recs (as expected)
Impressive list, as personal as I like lists to be.
Two big wildcards: The Afghan Whigs, whom I have known of for a long time but never seen on an all-time list before, and Anna & Elizabeth. Grouper is another one I have known of for some time but never seen on a list before.
Moondog I have not heard (like the Afghan Whigs whom I have not imagined as my cup of tea) but I knew of him from David Keenan's 2003 list.
I think this is a really neat chart. Oh wow, it's great! Yeah, I really love it!
"If there has ever been an album capable of representing my melancholy soul, this is it" wow that was good.
Oh yeah, mmmhmm, yep, I like it. I like it a lot.
Very personnal chart.
perfect !!
very unique chart!
Like hanging with an old friend. I immediately feel at home here. Everything just I I remembered. Love that RHP is still #1. I have to get some RHP in my Mello Zone. lol. Peace, brother!
