Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by Shepard
This chart is by no means a finished product. I have only really been listening to music since the start of 2013 so albums are bound to move up or down in time. I doubt I will make frequent changes. It is likely that I will make changes every couple of months, maybe even less than that. Eventually I would like to add some comments; at the very least I would like to provide some info about the albums including the genres and which songs I like the most.
I might have to limit the number of albums per artist, because Bob Dylan seems to be taking over. I will probably set a 3 album limit at some point, but I don't think I could go any lower than that and still feel like it represents my opinion.
If you're a fan of the following expect to be at least somewhat dissatisfied:
College Rock (especially The Smiths), Metal (I do have a couple metal albums in my decade chart, but not many), The Beatles (I'm still not a huge fan, but I do like them more now), Pop/Dance (I like indie pop, but don't expect any top 40 artists on my chart), R&B (I like some R&B songs and have some albums in my decade charts, but I doubt they will every make this one), Electronica, Instrumental Music
I would like to hear what people's opinions of my chart are and would love to get some band/album recommendations so please feel free to leave a comment.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 2% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 90.9/100, a mean average of 91.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.8/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 6.8.

Awesome chart!
really good chart. great selection of albums considering the short time you have been listening. good work!
Sweet chart bro. Hadn't heard the Buddy Guy or the Misunderstood albums before. Nice choices.
Pretty nice. Not a fan of Kendrick, or even hip hop in general (like you are not a metal or collage rock fan), but unlike many people here you at least didn't put him in top 10 just because it's in the trend. I always have recommendations, I think you would like Nick Cave or maybe Dire Straits. If you're into progressive rock at least a bit, Steven Wilson is definitely worth checking out. Cheers :)
Fantastic chart. Nothing but great albums. 30 in common. Would love to see some comments added, if there were this would be a 100 for sure!
I like this a lot! Some shared artists and a few I should probably check out
Really good for having seriously listened to music in the last 2 years. Some unknown albums and the albums I know I like so great. I look forward to the comments you add to the albums, that may raise my rating in the future.
Seriously sophisticated
