Very 90's this weren't the best decade surely
Not Bad, sooo british
No, not for me. Too much the same over and over. And as a "profesional" you shouldn't put an artist as #1 and #2. There's less Pink Floyd and some albums are definitely out of place (e.g. "Dark Side Of The Moon" (↑), "Achtung Baby" (↓)). Personally I believe they also wanted to include what they were wanted to include, why "Thriller" and not "Bad" or "Dangerous"?
Exodus was a good entry though, that keeps this, well, let's see, 60/100.
I love Radiohead. The Bends is way too high, Kid A is too low.
Yes, Maybe the rankings are a bit wrong but if I remember correctly this was a chart put together by votes, not self important journalists sat around a table deciding what was "cool". Qs reader base obviously like radiohead and oasis, and being a UK magazine, there's always going to be a lot of love for britpop. How else would urban hymms get into the top 20! Much prefer this to any of the other magazine charts who try to dictate what people should like and why. As I've said, I wouldn't have them in this order, but some great albums in there in there that usually wouldn't make it into these lists as journalists would dismiss them as they're not "important and influencial". For an album to be your personal favourite, it doesn't need to be, you just have to enjoy listening to it, and people must like listening to these.
2 oasis albums in the top 10...think about that for a second...
Very Brit-pop heavy.
It's like they took a list of my least favorite albums, and threw in a small handful of my favorites...
get rid of oasis and coldplay and the list is great !
I love Radiohead as well, but this is too much...
