Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 84.4/100, a mean average of 83.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 84.2/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 10.2.

Kanye West ruins every list for me. Your list is diverse and personalized which is good, but too much watered-down, poppy music for my liking. 11 albums in common... I liked to see London Calling high up and your appreciation for Pinkerton. But I cant give this a higher rating with some of these picks.
Good stuff! No need to "set the chart in stone" though, music is a constantly evolving thing, as are one's tastes in it!
very nice chart
Check out some Queens of the Stone Age! You'd like it a lot!!
I enjoy how eclectic your chart is! Although i would encourage you to branch out a bit from the typical BEA acclaimed albums. Here's a few suggestions:
La Dispute - Rooms of the House (Semi-Emo spoken word about mid-western life, and learning to live in a place that someone left you in. Battling nostalgia, boxing up memories.. etc. 3rd favorite album of all time.)
Foxing - Dealer (You've heard The Devil and God...? Take that album, make it shoegaze. There you go.)
Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends (Jesse Lacey of Brand New used to be in this band. Therefore, it sound exactly like Your Favorite Weapon, only better. Check it out.)
Happy listening.
A very strong chart! Doolittle and London Calling are such fantastic albums--they never seem to age for me at all. Looking forward to seeing you round out your top 100! Congrats, also, for being selected chart of the day!
AiC and Kanye West… Tool and indie… King Crimson and pop…Pretty diverse!
Awesome chart. So many great albums here, with Run the Jewels being probably the only one I've heard and disliked. Also great to see Chunk of Change in there. Passion Pit doesn't get enough love on BEA.
Awesome chart. Just lacking older stuff (only 3 60s albums) otherwise would have given 100. Some good similarities with mine, 12 in common with my top 50. I do think American Football are overrated and Yeezus is patchy though.
Years built into this chart, and a lot of great artists. A good variety of large name greats in respective genres.
