Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 3% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 89.8/100, a mean average of 91.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.7/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 4.9.

I like Yankee Hotel Foxtrot but have never seen it as #1 record. Maybe its time to pick it up again and have a fresh listen.
Spirit of Eden is one of the most perfect combinations of musicianship and creativity.
I've been exploring Swans discography and it has some really interesting things. Also Sonic Youth's discography which I'm an aficionado since my teen years and realizing that they haven't listened to at least half of their records.
Death Grips doesn't make me feel anything. I guess its a generational thing, no?
The other day a friend was telling me about Dj Shadow's Endtroducing and guess I'll need to hear it.
Always neglected Oasis, but nowadays, since they brothers are one of my favorite comedians, I've been listening to it and finding it strangely amusing :)
Fleetwood Mac's Rumours is one of those that I have to listen for a long time but never picked it up. Need to!
Billy Joel! Wow, that's unexpected, I've never heard him.

I love this! Especially all of the Radiohead and Pink Floyd. Very similar tastes and I love the inclusion of The Downward Spiral and Teens of Denial. Awesome list.

17 in common, probably more if I could fill out a 100 album chart already!
