This album is a mother fucking masterpiece. Every song is special as they mix surrealism with punk in many cool/different vibes. The difference between this one and doolittle is really this is seems more like a classic album to me, due to it's uniqueness to it's time and massive rawness (If there is a god,blessed is steve albini). This way the album seems more powerfull than Doolittle to me. Fav Tracks : Break My Body - Beautiful desert feeling - ; River Euphrates - favourite pixies song ever, probbably because of the explosive intro, and the colossal chorus - ; Oh My Golly - Defines the band's stereotype style : Spanish singing, surf rock, punk, crazy tempos, back vocals and genius dinamic. 1 River Euphrates 2 Levitate Me 3 Nimrod's Son 4 I've Been Tired 5 Break My Body |

I just feel the Arctic Monkeys just like The Strokes gave us an splendid debut, but then, they just faded away. Honestly I dont know what a fuck they are doing with their last two albums, not bad, but not good at all. I liked that the A Rush Blood to the Head comment, just an amazing album. Nirvana I believe in their own way changed the 90's and changed the World! Good chart

an_outlawDefinitely, I remember when they first released 'I Bet That You Look Good On The Dance Floor'. It was on radio for a little but without warning reached number 1. Turns out it was myspace which helped them (a website I wasn't aware of at the time) and the months afterwards there was this sense of them being possibly the next massive band like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Oasis etc. I thought the next single was alright at the time and when it got number 1 people definitely thought big things would happen with them. They seem to have taken a little hard rock into their sound on the 3rd and 4th album. I think they will be like Pearl Jam and shy away from sounding like their huge selling debut ever again. That said, Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair is fun to play on the guitar.

Yeah, I also think Alex Turner has a chance at making the band the next Beatles... but first he is going to have to write a decent song ;)

btener11some nice picks from the 90s/early 00s, but a little more variety would do a world of good for this chart. i.e., more selections from the 70s: only 3 albums here for such a loaded decade just is not enough.
