Early in the decade to have a chart about it so here is how I intend to work that. As soon as I get a new album, it goes on the chart if it is any good - as long as it is not bad, it goes on. This is the faster way to reach 100. If the decade produces more than 100 albums I find not bad, then the least interesting ones will start overflowing and drop out. Currently, anything under 22 (& the Steve Winwood compilation) would not be included in a BEA chart.

| An amazing new collaboration from people who have already worked together, Jean Leloup, Virginia Tangvald et Mathieu Leclerc. A totally tripping experience. Sung almost exclusively in English by Virginia Tangvald. The guitar and style of Jean Leloup is present and recognisable but this is not a solo album but a collaboration. Creates an amazing atmosphere. | |||||||||||||||||||||

3. (=) | Play The Blues Live From Jazz At Lincoln Center | Wynton Marsalis, Eric Clapton | |||||||||||||||||||
| Eric Clapton is never really done jazz, he is a blues purist which has had some glorious outings on the rock side and some shameful blunders involving pop music. But jazz ... well, he pulled it off. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| The Arcade Fire of Québec. Sung in French, Three albums that sound real good. My only problem is that they sound a little too much alike from one album to the other. You can pull that off for 2 albums, the 3rd is pushing it and we will have to wait for the 4th to see where they go ... | |||||||||||||||||||||

5. (=) | Thick as a Brick 2: Whatever Happened to Gerald Bostock? | Ian Anderson | |||||||||||||||||||
| Not as good as the original but all in all a pretty decent and totally satisfying offering. Having the themes to build songs around seems to have focused Ian Anderson's writing so that he did not derailed and stayed on target. It is a shame that is was not published as a Jethro Tull album though, after all they did pass off Under Wraps as a Tull album. This album can proudly stand on the shelf along with the other great Tull classics. A distant relative in time, but cut as precisely from the same wood. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Will the man ever stop. Let's hope not. As the title promises, a noisy album, lots of distorted guitars but not so much garage band like. This sounds like Neil doing one of his soft album à la Harvest but playing it, mostly solo, with a plugged in electric guitar with a fuzz pedal stuck at max. This is really Neil Young as we know him and yet we never heard an album like that yet. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| An albums of duets. The breadth of genres covered is quite extensive. A really talented lady. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| This is a standard OST and not a true Daft Punk album. They do not play, they only composed and I don't even think they orchestrated. Still as far as Sci-fi movies OST go, this ranks up there. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| One of my recent discoveries. Dax Riggs has juts an amazing voice and writes superb songs. This guy should be on top of the charts instead of Katy Perry. | |||||||||||||||||||||

10. (=) | Scratch My Back | Peter Gabriel | |||||||||||||||||||
| Excellent interpretations. Peter Gabriel doing covers of contemporary hits with the backing of an orchestra. No drums, no electric guitars. This is where Peter Gabriel is at and this is beautiful. If you are getting old WITH Peter, then likely you will love this album too. | |||||||||||||||||||||
