Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 81.2/100, a mean average of 79.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 80.5/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 13.8.

Great chart man! Try other Cohen albums, You Want It Darker is brilliant but not his best :)
simply great ... and very surprising chart !!
Any chart with We Shall Overcome, The Seeger Sessions in it is alright with me
Excellent choice for chart of the day! Love a lot of the picks (the Stevie Wonder, So, Selling England, Red picks included), and I love the placement for WYWH. Excellent.
Excellent chart.
Well, I don't know what thinking about your chart.
Some choices are interesting (Tom McRae, Solomon Burke...).
But I can't admit Billie Holiday after Madeleine Peyroux !
Not possible for me.
Sorry
I like this chart. It has some unique albums like Springsteen's We Shall Overcome or Midlake's The Courage of others, and many prog rock acts I like. However, I don't agree with LZ III so high. Please include some comments on your choices.
Good chart. Aqualung!
Stop Hayden on Who's Masquerade. Haters gonna hate, but that stuff's great.
Nice chart!
