There is no word to describe how I feel with this album. I remember the first time I played it, I found myself wondering if what I was listening to was really true.
Ride the Lightning is my favourite music album of all time, and (unfortunately), I don't think I'll ever find one I like better.

When I discovered ...And Justice For All, I could listen to it every day without getting bored as all its songs sounded perfect to me.
This is one of the albums that made me slowly become fond of metal music and appreciate the aggressive approach of this genre.

This is the first album that made me feel like I was not only listening to music I liked, but to an objective masterpiece.
Straight out of nowhere, RATM is something that has never been done before and that will never be imitated with success.
Should appear in every top 100 ranking.

The way and the time when I discovered Death Magnetic explains why it is ranked so high in my chart. Metallica has done better stuff in the 80s, but this album definitely changed my vision of music.

There is absolutely nothing bad about this album. All of its thirteen songs are great and even flawless. According to me, X&Y is without any doubt Coldplay's finest and deepest record.

I was barely eleven when this album was released, and at that time you could often hear its numerous hits on the radio. Today, I can say that American Idiot means a lot to me, as it may be the album that made me start getting really interested in music.

I used to find it kind of strange compared to other Muse albums, but I soon realized it was clearly the best work of what must be my favourite band.
In a way, this album is a good illustration of the fact that beauty isn't necessary obvious.

Miracle from a band that was unknown at that time but that is one of today's most influential members of the indie scene.

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 81.0/100, a mean average of 79.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.9/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 12.4.

Good Chart but in this chart we're seeing only one side of the music. But it is still a good chart

very personal chart with four metallica albums in the top ten. I used to have four pink floyd albums in my top ten so i understand where its coming from. Very nice chart

To thyself be true. And that is true of this chart. It is very personal and real. It clearly represents what you like. I like it. I would urge you to listen to some music pre-80s/90s. Some amazing music was made between the 50s and 90s. Plenty of metal and hard rock and old-fashioned rock and roll. Still you're young. Plenty of time to broaden your horizons. Good chart.

Ride the Lightning is the best Metallica album EVER. Justice is also my number 2 'tallica album! Also 21 in common and you have a dose of diversity in your chart. The thing I don't like is that there are no pre 80s albums. Top 10 is splendid though!

Not really the music I personally enjoy but I can't really complain that we don't listen to all of the same stuff. Good work on the whole.

It's refreshing to see a chart like this. I can tell you love the albums you've chosen here and you don't care if you missing what other people may view as "classics".

I also appreciate your love of Metallica as they aren't always a favorite here, but Death Magnetic above Master of Puppets? :P

I totally agree with 9680349867 Metallica albums in your top 10. Not cause I'm a huge Metallica fan, but because those are the albums you obviously love the most... why would you not rank them so high to please others? Having said that, I did that for my decade charts with Beatles and U2, but the overall chart I may change to be one artist per if I get around to it.

Regardless, we also have 19 albums in common. Lots of Foo and RATM in your top 5=I agree 100%.
