This song is ridiculously good and then at the end he reminds you, this was recorded in fucking '92. Unreal.
Best song on this album (which is the best hiphop album ever made till this day) IMO, and best Nas song in general

I love this bassline. And to WindowAbove, this was '94. It was a different time and that slur did not have so much weight back then. Nowadays Nas is conscious about using the word in live performances, he leaves it out. It shouldn't take away from the song.
Although the halfway point is track 6 as there are 9 songs (intro isn't a song), nas doesn't give an f and tells you it's halftime anyway.
Strong lyricism shown here over a great beat.
