Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 92.0/100, a mean average of 91.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 92.3/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.0.

Best Clapton song hands down. Amazing guitar, the piano part is fantastic too. One of the best song ever.

This features the most raved about guitar riff ever, but what really pushes this track over the top is the best slow fade, duel guitar led piano fade out in recorded history - unparalleled by other great fades like Eagles' "Hotel California" or Prince's "Purple Rain".

Fun fact, Jim Gordon, the drummer for Derek and the Dominoes was insane, and killed his mother cause he heard voices that told him to do it. He helped write one song on this album, and it was Layla... Good song, den outta den.

This is one of the best rock songs ever made IMO.
The bluesy riffed part is so strong, and then the beautiful second part with Allman shining on top af that emotive piano part.
Just plain perfect.

I love the hectic guitar riff and all, but the second part of the song with the emotional piano/wailing guitar frenzy happens to be my favourite part (unlike Evandar). Just heavenly!
