Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 89.5/100, a mean average of 89.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 90.0/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.6.

This is not only one of the greatest opening tracks on a hard rock album, it’s one of the most directly influential. The blistering tempo and the solo sections in particular sound super indicative of what was to come in the genre’s history.
Shoutout Ian Paice on drums!
The solos get all the talk, but I love the drum work on this song!
Obra-prima que deveria ser mais valorizada!!
One of, if not THE most important song in the history of heavy metal. It's heavy and fast, kick-ass, and has killer solos from both Lord and Blackmore. Lyrics are kinda stupid but musically, it's just totally groundbreaking and awesome.
Easily in the top 10 guitar solos of all time.
One of the coolest guitar solos I've ever heard.
I didn't know this song was by Deep Purple.
Perfect song for the road. Incredible organ and guitar solos.
