Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 88.5/100, a mean average of 87.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.0/100. The standard deviation for this track is 14.4.

Best song they made. Black Hole Sun may be the most known, but this is my favorite
up there as my favorite soundgarden song
Part of me can't believe I thought this was a weak song.
While I would consider "Black Hole Sun" the 'most notable' work on Soundgarden's most famous record, Superunknown, I would be inclined to choose "Fell on Black Days" as a 'personal favourite', not only due to the infectiously catchy riff (which is deserving of more fame than is bestowed upon it), but also because the theme of the piece is relatable and has substance (while "Black Hole Sun" dabbles in the strange and very vague).
The piece explores the feelings that the narrator experiences with a descent into harsher times. He acknowledges that changes in a person's state of happiness, state of mind, and state of success fluctuates throughout life, but he's tormented by what he's become, and would prefer a new start.
Interpretations of the lyrics vary from addiction to prison sentencing to anxiety, depression, and alienation. Depressing times occur sometime over the course of most people's lives, and this song captures the essence of what it feels to be lonely, angry, scared, and insecure.
The 6/4 timing of the haunting riff is offset by a straight percussive beat. It must be mentioned that Matt Cameron is an under-rated drummer, as evidenced by this song, and many more on Superunknown! Cornell's vocal range is insane, as usual, and per expectation.
