Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. We had a huge heatwave several years ago and I was doing an hour-long drive in my car (with no air-conditioning). I had just bought this album and The Gift comes through my speakers. Just as Tom starts singing about the rain and melting fear away, the skies opened up and rain bucketed down for about 5 minutes. The temperature almost instantly dropped about 5 degrees and my drive afterwards was delightful!
It was in that single moment that Angels and Airwaves had won me over! ;) Awesome band and a wonderful moment! :)
