Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 83.8/100, a mean average of 82.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 83.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.9.

I don’t know how many actual songs are this record. There are quite a few interesting snippets of beat and flow that interrupt and collide with each other though.

I vibe with this. Definitely have to listen to Tyler's first two albums now. Would rather hear more stuff like this than Igor, but the man can do what he wants to.

Generally has good interludes, lyrics, melodies, and production. The final song is awful though, and that just ruins the album's genius. IGOR is just a better album.

He managed to blend his love for cutesy music with his dark rapping style, which is remarkable to say the least. I can only be so excited about his music though, Tyler has never been at the top of my best rappers list (not in the worst rappers list either for sure). The polished production then also functions a bit as a way to make up for that and hence tends to attract people who weren't reaaaaally looking rap in the first place. But the whole sure is better than the sum of the parts, it works perfectly.

Shows what can happen when an artist matures. He hits way harder on this one, even as he's not trying to be so brazenly provocative as earlier work.

Tyler’s “coming out” album ranks up there with his best (still Goblin for me) and shows him building on his musical identity with a new sound. Where his past lyrics have been perceived as homophobic, here it’s clear that his provocative nature is closely tied to his own feelings about himself as a sexually ambiguous man.
