Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 60.7/100, a mean average of 59.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 59.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 24.8.

Good album. Best 10 songs average is 83,3/100 and the album can get good 85/100. Best song is coversong and bonustrack "Tainted Love" 90/100, next "Doll-Dagga Buzz-Buzz Ziggety-Zag" and "Ka-Boom Ka-Boom" both 85/100. All other songs are ok only 75-80/100.
Genre: Industrial Rock, Industrial Metal

This album has a few great tracks, but they all sound the same. It's an anthem album. Hooks sound so similar, and instrumentals are not very widespread in their taste. The entire album sounds like a variation of 1 track. His previous works did not have this problem.

Marilyn Manson is an artist that a lot of people love to hate - probably due to the image he created. Whether you like the image of Marilyn Manson or not, there's merit and substance in his music.

"Golden Age" is FAR better than its BEA rating would have you believe. It's Manson's 2nd album with guitarist John 5 - the last guitar prodigy found by David Lee Roth - and it has more fun, and sense of humor than any of Manson's other albums.
