Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.1/100, a mean average of 72.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.3.

Delicinha de álbum.
I feel that this is a tad underrated in BEA.
A little over the top for me. Rating (71.67)
This is a very good 2nd effort leaps and bounds better than the debut. Some of the Production is a bit dated but has great songs such as I Wanna Be Your Lover, Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?, Bambi, I Feel For You and It’s Gonna Be Lonely. This deserves to be in his top ten.
I do prefer the more energetic, funkier tracks over the slow ballads (opening track "I Wanna Be Your Lover" being the best of the uptempo bunch), however my personal favourite here is the almost ambient-pop "When We're Dancing Close and Slow" which is spare, yet gorgeous and atmospheric. A solid improvement over his debut, this self-titled record is edgier and shows flashes of greatness yet also flirts with the humdrum.
Has there ever been a better first two songs on an album? Prince is incredible.
Very underrated and miles better than, Dirty mind, or, controversy. This is Prince's best album before the big time of 1999. The ballads are the weakest but the rest is fantastic. I wanna be your lover, Sexy dancer, and, Bambi, are the highlights.
It's shocking to me that this isn't in his top 10, at least.
Second album from Prince and a step up from "For You". I Wanna Be Your Lover, Bambi, Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad, With You & I Feel For You are the stand out tracks. The other tracks are all 75/100. I still listen to this album and it always leaves a smile on my face.
Not a bad sophomore effort. Prince is still looking for his sound. He begins to hone his song writing skills here and it's got some really good cuts. The best is still yet to come.
