Our Love (studio album) by Caribou

Highlights: All of Them.

You can always rely on Caribou putting together a pleasant album but sometimes the "pleasantness" gets a little samey. Thankfully Our Love doesn't suffer from that - even when two or three tracks in a row sound similar, he throws in something like Second Chance.

Best track: Second Chance. It's that wonky Boards of Canada sound mixed with post-R&B, with Jessy Lanza singing on top. Great stuff.

It's a pretty album, but it's also depressingly predictable and consequently fairly dull. It's electronic music for people who don't much care for electronic music, more suited to quietly soundtracking dinner parties than it is to raves. Not majorly disappointing, nor bad by any means, but just pretty underwhelming by Snaith's usual standards. I wouldn't complain if somebody decided to put it on, but I certainly wouldn't choose to listen to it whilst other music still exists. This just stirs up nothing in me whatsoever. It's the musical equivalent of a plastic flower.

Another great album by Caribou. More poppier than previous albums, but still manages to make an impact. "Our Love" and "Can't Do Without You" top song of the year.

Another decent effort by snaith, however not quite up there with his Andorra, Swim or Daphni albums. Maybe this is slightly more accessible though, with lots of fun poppy moments throughout. Our love would definitely be a good starting point for newcomers to csribou!
