The Easybeats wrote and recorded great music, but I don't think any of their albums are consistent enough to make to an all time greatest top 40 album list.

Yet I think that it is incomprehensible that so little focus is given Flash And The Pan, which after all is an offshoot to the Easybeats and comprising the brilliant songwriting team Harry Vanda and George Young. The group's last album "Burning Up the Night" was perhaps somewhat under par, but the group's other albums are for me some of the finest that was released in the period from the late 1970s until the late 1980s. Especially the first album and "Lights in the Night" and Nights in France "I would without hesitation call classics. :?:

I've been meaning to check Flash and the pan out for some time, since I am a pretty big Easybeats fan.
(I am however not a big fan of the 80's at all...)

Why aren't The Easybeats on your chart btw?
