That's the third most amazing beard I've seen; the first belongs to a friend who is so manly he frequently gets bored of his manliness and shaves it into a handlebar moustache; the second belongs to Chester A Arthur.

Death Cab for Cutie--Transatlanticism
Yo La Tengo--And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out

I know you're all into indie and college rock, but you really can't leave The Strokes debut off a best of the 2000's list. The White Stripes should probably be represented too and yes, Radiohead.

I'll address all the albums/bands you brought but you will be seeing a lot "that would have made it if this was a top 100 lists
The Moon & Antarctica: in my opinion every second of it is perfect and i believe it to be the best album of all time
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah: i hear the talking head, but not so much the radiohead
The Sophtware Slump: Obviously since its 30 places above Give Up i think it has aged better but i really love that album for its song-writing which is superb
The Postal Service: the music on the album is probably at the same level as the music on The Sophtware Slump, except a bit more forward think and influential, but it doesn't work as well as an album as The Sophtware Slump does
The Decemberists: I was choosing between Castaways and Cutouts and Picaresque to go on this list, The Crane Wife is my third favorite Decemberists album
The Shins: if this was a top 100 list this album would have made it, there debut and Chutes To Narrow both have great songs but some weak spots as-well
Illinois: completely agree, I think it's almost perfect
Boxer: it would have made it if this was a top 100 but it doesn't really capture me and i find it to be overrated
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot: not as good as their 90s stuff, i don't hear the creativity, emotion, and innovation that everyone says is on that album
Heartbreaker: never listened to it
The New Pornagraphers: compared to the other Canadian indie rock bands (Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Wolf Parade, The Unicorns) of this decade The New Pornographers are amateurs
Fleet Foxes: would have made it if this was a top 100, there's just nothing really special about it
The Hold Steady: One of the worst bands of the decade in my opinion
Death Cab For Cutie: The Postal Service is the only Ben Gibbard project i can get into
Yo La Tengo: I like their 90s stuff but the output this decade has been very dull
Is This It: I like two songs, but i really think The Moon & Antarctica deserves the legacy that this album has
The White Stripes: they would have made it is this was a top 100 list
Radiohead: I don't hate Radiohead's music and i don't like Radiohead's music it does nothing for me emotionally, it just sits there. My only opinion is that Radiohead are quite possibly the most overrated band of all time

To be fair, his beard in this picture is obviously enhanced by excessive computerized embellishments that only serve to make the final product cold and dehumanized. Much like his music.

I've only heard 11 of these so I can't really say much about it. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is probably one of the worst things I've heard this decade, though.

From my point of view, irrational views on Radiohead appreciation shows that you are pretending to like music when you are really just in love with Thom Yorke's rugged beard.

With that said, "Optimistic" is a damn good tune because it reminds me of the "This Little Piggy" nursery rhyme that my mommy would sing to me back when she loved me.

I like Modest Mouse as number one. Moon & Antarctica is one album I initally had a good listen to but haven't played for a while.

Interesting to see Strawberry Jam instead of MPP (which seems to be the favoured one here).

The list is very indie. Not a bad thing just an observation. Missing some of the big names of the 00s (Radiohead, Muse, Coldplay).
