Little Richards vocie is hardly cringeworthy, he's not like that guy from Midnight oil or anything. plus it's ncie to see a 50's singer with energy considering you had people like bo diddley, chuck berry and bill haley with such dull voices.
Also Tutti Frutti had to be changed, look up the original lyrics and you'll know why.

Some of Elvis' music is pretty great, but he is dfinitely overrated.

Also how is Little Richard annoying? He's certainly the mos energetic of the 50's acts and stuff like Ready tedy and Rip It Up kicks the shit out of anything else from that era.

The Beatles WERE influential in that matter, but only much later on and if we go by quality, they only released two consistent albums in their career: Sgt. Pepper and possibly The White Album too.

I'll give you Elvis Presley (although it contains some schlock), and The "Chirpin' Crickets". But those are rare from that time. Please Please Me was the beginning of the change in how albums were viewed in rock, and it's my opinion that it's an important part of what the album is about.
