I'm on around 100! Nearly all second hand! I'm proud of this as I only got into music when I was about 17 and I'm now only 20! Quite a varied mix aswell! 😄

I've got about 1500 albums worth in my collection digitally. I would guess about 2/3 of that come from original CDs. I've traded some of those in over the years so I have about 600 physical CDs still.

I'm having a blast reading all these. As for CDs, I am still counting ... Maybe I could have bought 2 cars with that money, but by now the 2 cars would be run down and no longer running whereas the CDs still rock. You can't buy a car with 10 to 20 dollars at a time.

😁 I used to have a ton of cassettes too but I replaced most of them with CDs at some point. The only ones I kept are my nostalgic mixtapes and stuff I copied from the radio.

I'd guesstimate about 400. CDs and (gasp) cassettes. The cassettes don't get much mileage these days, there's just a bunch of them I never upgraded to CDs when I made the jump 17 years ago.

As for expense - record clubs can be amazing things. I don't think I spent all that much on the first 250 CDs I bought - got a lot of freebies from Columbia House. Sadly, at some point they ran out of CDs I wanted, so I dumped the membership.

Yeah. Digipaks ARE cheaper to make. And look better. When I was planning to get physical copies of MANNER, the dikipaks (2-fold) were $2.40 each, and Jewel cases would've cost me about a buck more per.
