I agree with you, the acoustic You're crazy is better. Anyway I really like all the four acoustic songs on the B-side of G'N'R Lies.

I don't need to post the original one, but the Anthology- acoustic version is as perfect as the electronic one. Simple, yet hauntingly beautiful. Like the different lyrics too.

This would also fit into the cover thread obviously. I love the White Stripes to death, but I think Chris Thile may have somehow made this song even better acoustic/mandolinized.

May have posted this at some point already 🤔 Deserves another either way.

oooh ya, that Nirvana unplugged is full of awesome acoustic stuff- my favorite being All Apologies and the Meat Puppet stuff.

This is a good version, but the original version is already acoustic so it's really almost the same thing.

Everlong by the Foo Fighters. To be honest I'm not sure which I like better, probably electric, but I think it's amazing how different of a song it is as an acoustic track.

This is also the case with Times Like These...it completely changes the song. A lot of times songs that go from electric to acoustic sound exactly the same, just quieter, but I think the Foo Fighters do a great job turning plugged songs into their own animal unplugged.

So I did research Acoustic AND better and didn't see this one... so back off if it is a repeat! J/k

Anyways, the question is: do you prefer a song that has been done both "electric" and acoustic- which is better?

Here's my 2 opinions for now:

Song- All Along the Watchtower:

Bob Dylan- acoustic
Jimi Hendrix - Electric - by far the best version.

U2- Stuck in a moment - electric - over produced and by far not the best version.
U2- Stuck in a moment - acoustic - by far much better than the electric (but toss up between the two when it is live.
