The first two rounds were won by better teams. You really think your '99 line up was better than the '66 line up I put up that round? 😜 I can't speak to the other ones. By the way, I only won that first one by like two votes... Interesting result.

As for the second question, I think it needs its own thread. I don't know the answer, definitively. I really think it would make for an interesting discussion topic. Thinking about it though, there are a few differences between our generations when it comes to music. 1.: (and probably most obvious): With technology being what it is now, and most Gen Y'ers being really savvy users of technology because they grew up using it, you have unlimited music to explore and distribute. The methods of finding music, acquiring it, and sharing it are almost limitless now. Yes, I realize I could do this too, but this brings me to the next one. 2: The younger generation probably has more time to explore music, and is at a place where they are constantly exploring. That doesn't mean older listeners are closed-minded. It means they don't have the time and desire to seek out new music as much. 3. I also think there comes a time when gets a bit jaded as a music listener and listens to something new, and thinks, "That's OK, but I've heard it before."... The opposite where one hears something so weird or artistically ambitious, depending on viewpoint, can also lead one to dismiss the music as not one's "cup of tea." (See #2 for explanation). 4. Finally, I think your generation is a bit more comfortable with music that was made by and sounds like computers than mine. In fact, most of the music Gen Y has grown up listening to was recorded digitally and was made for the digital age... My generation was the last one that listened to artists who recorded originally on analog equipment... There is a difference.

No. It's the fact I originally pointed out to you and which you said that there was no evidence for my claim, when there has been clear evidence both before and after I made that claim to support it...

That doesn't mean the tournament is a joke or anything. It's not. It's a lot of fun and highly competitive, which of course, makes it more fun. But yeah, let's acknowledge that there is a generational divide on this site, and like it or not, it does influence the voting. But I'm fine with it. 😐

As for this match up, 1967 is good, but it looks like 2003 might be considered better. Kudos!

True. I don't want to hurt my chances in the final two match ups, but I definitely think this is my overall strongest team. Glad it's going well so far.

And I don't think it has to do with being hipsters, I think the age range of the users is much more relevant. The fact that most of us grew up with albums in the 2000's makes us naturally like and identify with them more in most cases. I respect and love a lot of older more classic music, but it just doesn't compare with what I grew up with.
