Well ya Isis plays off the "post-rock" thing so i wouldn't categorize it as exciting anyways. Oceanic is a better album by them in my opinion. Also Through Silver in Blood (Neurosis) and Wake/Lift (Rosetta) are really great sludge metal releases. Mastodon is maybe a good choice for more "exciting" music.

I'm a bit skeptical about 1995. They have a lot of stuff I like, but some stuff I think isn't that great(like the bends by radiohead), but 95 has my vote.
