great news, I'm glad it's working.

(If it's working in another browser and not in Chrome, it could mean that a Chrome extension might be causing the problem because I'm using the same version of Chrome as you, and that would probably be the only major difference between our set-ups.)

I've just updated the chart using Google Chrome to be public and accept member feedback. I still don't know why it is hanging for you. I've tried in three different browsers and it seems to work in all of them (I accept there is definitely an issue, I just can't reproduce it). I'd be interested to hear from anybody else with the same issue to try and find out what the underlying cause might be.

EDIT: I can see from the screenshot you are using Adblock Plus (which I use as well). I'm not sure what other browser add-ons you are using, but it's possible that something else could be interfering. Have you tried updating the chart in another browser, or on another computer? It might help to narrow the problem down a bit if I could work out where the problem was coming from.

You had managed to make the chart public, albummaster, but when I tried toi allow comments the page froze and... it caused the chart to go private again.

Not sure about this, albummaster, as the new albums added to this particular chart had been added beforehand and with no trouble whatsoever. Besides, I had no problem adding new albums to another chart I have.

Couldn't it be that there's a problem on my side? Like that page is forever compromised because of something that happened on my comp while I was typing it?

I wouldn't like to be the one to cause everybody to be angry with custom charts suspended.

No problem, and it's no trouble at all. I'd like to fix it so that the site works as well as it can for everybody. Everything looks fine with the database at the moment, but I'm going to keep monitoring tonight as Sunday is typically the busiest day of the week. If the problems continue, I think I might disable custom charts for a week or so while I re-engineer how things work. (I'd rather do that than have something live that isn't working as well as it should.)

What happens is if I try to submit a comment, or make my chart public and allow comments, the bottom left of the page shows "transferring data" (in French: "transfert en cours") and a percentage, when the percentage gets to 99 the page freezes.

It's amazing. Last night, I had finally succeeded in making my chart go public and allow comments. Last I looked this mroning, it worked OK (still couldn't post entry comments though). No I try to look at it, it's gone private again!

How come a chart can be made private without its creator doing it himself? And without him knowing of it?

EDIT : oh and of course now I can't make it public again 🤡

Hi, I'm going to be looking at this today, and I'd be interested to know if other people are having the same problem, so please post here if you are. If there are more than just a few people, I might disable custom charts until the problem is fixed.
