Digging a little deeper into the hardcore bands that I don't know yet, I've just found Death Church by Rudimentary Peni to be completely satisfactory, and I intend to listen to their other releases. Great LP, hardcore guys.

The whole "West London Folk Scene" has some amazing artists. I found them through Mumford & Sons, and they're all fantastic. The best are probably:

Laura Marling
Pete Roe
Mystery Jets
Johnny Flynn
Noah and the Whale

If you like folk-ish music at all, check them out.

Fantastic band. Would also recommend their albums "Before Hollywood" and "Tallulah". Really can't go wrong with any of their stuff though.

Discovered The Go-Betweens yesterday. 16 Loves Lane is a great collection of beautifully crafted love songs.

Mo Kolours, a producer from Mauritius. His new single (which you can download for free here) is sort of reminiscent of How To Dress Well, but with less overt modern R'n'B influences. Overall he reminds me more of Mr Scruff. Really cool, chilled out, organic beats. Here's some of his other stuff, including a very nice remix of Jehst, one of the greatest UK rappers of all-time:

Glad you enjoyed Blue Chips, Action Bronson's a natural rapper who appears to be creating an intriguing persona as he releases more stuff. I have really high hopes for Rare Chandeliers, his album with The Alchemist (who has been, to my mind, the most consistent and downright great hip-hop producer over the last 18 months - also, it's rare that a hip-hop producer starts delivering their best beats 15 years into their career). Anyway, that album comes out on Thursday, so be sure to give it a spin.

Big Big Train managed to release a great album, called English Electric part I. This band (with former XTC's Dave Gregory and Spock's Beard drummer Nick D'Virgilio) deserves to be picked up by more people....

Found a fantastic album today (well tonight) It is called 'Man On The Moon: The End Of Day' and is by an artist named Kid Cudi! Truly a work of art and I love the concept! It's about a man on the moon and it's all about his thoughts and dreams in life. I loved this to bits, get it now 😁

I should also say that I had never heard of the artist before I listened to this. So I suppose it is a "latest discovery" from me haha!

I've just discovered Graham Parker, with his 79 album Squeezing Out Sparks. Costelo-esque pub rock, only rockier and less showoffedly smart-ass, great fun ! Will be looking for others by him.

Also, not really a discovery, but for a game on another forum, I'm rediscovering Mice and Rats In the Loft by Jan Dukes de Grey, which I hadn't liked at all when I first listened to it years ago. I'm totally backing up on what I used to think, it's actually good fun. If you don't know it, it's some sort of prog-folk cult LP, it's utterly silly and going nowhere, but in a cool sort of way.

Sleeper/Agent is one of my latest discoveries. Only one album so far, catchy and fun as hell.

Also, almost embarrassed to admit I'm just discovering Arctic Monkeys in the past couple weeks. Something about the first album cover always turned me off, but I'm glad I finally gave in cause that's a fantastic album.
