Why you should vote for 1969

1969 was a year in which many memorable classics were released, and this particular team reflects that. We have two brilliant singles: Honky Tonk Women, one of the Stones' most memorable blues rock songs, and Kick Out the Jams, an amazingly energetic proto-punk rocker and the title track of MC5's explosive debut. Speaking of explosive debuts, also included in the team are Led Zeppelin and King Crimson's debut albums, both of which would prove to be two of the most influential albums in the 70s, and both of which would never be equaled by their artists ever again. In contrast, there is the last album of The Beatles, Abbey Road, a pop album loved by many around the world, and it's not much less impressive. Its best moments are among the best in all pop. Last but not least, is Trout Mask Replica, a unique and highly enjoyable combination of energetic blues rock and free jazz from one of the greatest rock bands ever. Overall, the diverse team shows the many good aspects of the last year of the 60s, and how its many great musical works were all unique and inspiring in their own way.
