I prefer Arcade Fire over Radiohead anyday, but really I am not a fan of Arcade Fire. Really, Radiohead is on my list of "most hated bands". They have one really good album, the but the rest of their discography sucks. I don't rate bands by their best works, but by their discography and Radiohead has one of the worst. Of course there are worst bands(like U2 or Rush), but Radiohead is still on my list of bands I hate.

See, it's not like I don't care for these two bands. Arcade Fire's big sound and deft songwriting may have my preference.
I'm just not too interested in comparing them. Am I forgiven?

Kid A was the only Radiohead album that came even remotely close to how much i like Funeral.

Only liked Funeral by Arcade Fire, while The Bends and OK Computer are in the higher parts of my chart. Radiohead.

I think I remember an interview with Chris Martin being asked about Radiohead. Martin answered that Radiohead is better "musically", but Coldplay (Chris Martin's band) is more "attractive".

That might be relevant when comparing Arcade Fire with Radiohead (debatable).

Very hard to pick between the two.

I think Arcade Fire are much easier to just pick up and have an easy listen to than Radiohead, but Radiohead have a very strong, on-going legacy of brilliant albums that really hits the spot when you want to listen to something a little more carefully - often that means their albums feel a little more rewarding at times.

Yeah, it's gotta be Radiohead.
Maybe in a decade or two Arcade Fire will take the lead if they do lots of stepping out of their comfort zone.
