I've always thought opinion was a cool word. I still remember learning the difference between opinion and fact in 4th grade and thinking it was a badass word. Just my opinion.

An opinion is a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty. Such opinion can be proven wrong when the grounds on which it rests are proven with complete certainty. The opinion that the world was flat rested on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty and the opinion was therefore proven wrong.

Without getting into opinion on subjective and objective matters, the blank statement that opinions can't be wrong is wrong.

I agree with your opinion.

An opinion is what someone personally thinks about something. Thinking that Jack White hasn't made anythin worthwhile since Elephant is an opinion, not a fact. You can say an opinion as if it was a fact. The belief that the world is flat is not an opinion. It was an incorrect fact. fucubicthlolgj

Vernon makes some good points.

The sole purpose of the Grammys is to draw the largest possible TV audience and advertising dollars for CBS. End of story.

Totally agree. Thankfully however they aren't trotting out all the Billboard "stars" this year. It could have been all Biebs, Rihanna, One Direction, GaGa ....

Album of the year prediction: Channel Orange - Frank Ocean

I think you are right and it is a shame. I loved the album at first but it had a really short shelf life for me. It isn't in my top 30 for 2012 anymore.

Blunderbuss is great, and both Raconteurs albums are fucking awesome. Basically anything he does is gold.

Usually the Grammy's make Rolling Stone seem edgy and marginalized. I think this year, while still miles off where they need to be, is progress. Sadly, the show is still more about the industry than the art.
